Try opening the xbox live ports on your routerplease help me with my NAT
find your routers IP address, usually 192.168.1.1 (different depending on make and model, usually can be googled if u dont know) put it in your address bar, the username and password is usually admin//admin. go into firewalll and put your 360's IP as the DMZ host. You can find your 360s IP but testing the connection of xbox live, then pressing Y or X whens its done for more info or something like that. done and done

am I the only one who is excited about the new improvement on the CE of Fable 2? because I never wanted any of the cards or the figures all that much. :P all I wanted was the in-game extra content. AND it's been lowered down to $69.99 now! :D am I the ONLY one who is excited???Fable 2 CE

do you use a router?I had some problems with xbl as well. Use this to fugure out what you have to do according to your set up for it to work.It you are not using a router I highly recommend you use one.nail polish

I had to buy a 50 ft ethernet cord to hook my 360 up. If nothing else, you can go a while with out live and get the cord you you can more easily afford it.

It's an excellent survival horror game, but since you have a Gears of War avatar, I think you may like the story and atmosphere of Dead Space more. :) It's going to be one heck of a game, too.How is Silent Hill Homcoming?

Why put Code of Conduct on bio?
I like looking at peoples bios while waiting for a room to fill up in Gears and I noticed alot of people put Code of Conduct instead of a name or slogan. Whats the deal with that?Why put Code of Conduct on bio?

360 Hacker stopped my internet connectio ...
Wow I played Halo 3 around 6 PM EST. and the opponents cheated by forcing one player to lag horrible. Eventually they lagged us out but they were a little to late because we had the lead and one player remained in the game. After the game a player threatened to kill my friend's internet connection and he actually did! He fried his hi-speed internet modem and then my friend called me and told me that Comcast said his modem burnt out. Since those hackers were in the party I asked if they did do that to his connection and the person admitted it then said to me, ''I'm gunna do the say to you know for asking questions... but for you AgileNate, I will be nice and only shut you off for 6 hours.... so good bye''
Off went my internet connection(not just Xbox Live) my modem lights flashed. Both Comcast and Xbox Live support had no answers, I was SHOCKED at how dumbfounded Xbox Live Support was. Gametrailers mod asked me to blog it so I did but what I wanted to tell people is that some crazy hackon the 360 that attacks more than your connection to live. You think im some kind of fanboy attacking the 360 or something?

Yeah can't say I'll miss the berserkers, if they are gone. I'd say the first berserker was a bit of a challenge for me but that was because he kept killing Dom, the other two were pieces of cake. I'm sure however some of the nasty things they are coming up with will more then fill the void. I really can't wait to curb a Theron Guard.

I loved the Berserker's it would be a real shame if there's no apperience in Gears 2 for them. They might have been easy to kill but it was still a good part of the game. I'd be disappointed if one isn't in the new game.

Xbox 360 headset doesn't work
I just got a new 360, and I'm a complete noob at this. When I play call of duty 4, the headset makes no noise at all when I connect it to my controller or turn on the volume at all. What could possibly be the cause of this?Xbox 360 headset doesn't work

The New Ragdoll effect on Gears of War 2
From all the footage I have seen of this ragdoll effect from smoke grenades it looks like your character gets up really slowly. I got a feeling that everyone will be wazzing smoke grenades at people to down them for a close kill. Well thats what I'd do lol.The New Ragdoll effect on Gears of War 2

I think they gave the smoke grenage too much flexibility. It's not the concussion part I'm worried about, it's the fact it can be stuck to any surface, player, or thrown. So there's 10 (one for each player in a full match) on one map per round ... or more considering respawning type gametypes.

WHy would it be to late to buy a 360? The console isn't a durable as it should be, but it's not like they break down left and right. Last I heard they have a 30 % failure rate. I'd say it's worth the risks considering what games it has.

1) I decided to just send it in and not deal with any of the ''fixes''... they said it will take 2-3 weeks. How long have people experienced?2) Once they fix the XBox, is it fixed for good, or will the RROD return? 1) My whole process (waiting for the box, shipping, waiting for it to return to me) took about 2 weeks.2)It could get RRoD again, there's no certainty in any product that it will work for good. Yes they do give you a refurbished xbox and they send you one from the same year that yours was manufactured, they at least did for me. So you send in an '06 console which is what I did, you get an '06 back. They repair the console you sent in and then give it to someone else, that's how it works. 3) All you do is call them or go to xbox.com and do it online so you don't have to worry about talking to anyone. They ship you a box with directions on what to ship. They give you tape and a shipping sticker plus styrofoam to secure it in the box. You just ship the console, no hd, no controllers, no cables, nothing but the plain console. Also, you should to write down your tracking number located on the shipping sticker.
SO glad someone brought up this topic again.. I JUST got mine back from the RROD issue.. and well I can help a littleno they don't send people back someone esles refurbished xbox they actually open is it and do the repair, and sometimes they basically put u in a whole new machine depending on the condition.. that is what they did to mine mine is quieter turns on quicker and a few other good things, and the shipping is no big deal they I never had to do that either they will tell you that you have to get the box or they send you one.. but I had to go and buy my own box and stuff to ship it, and I had to print it out of an email they had sent to me and so I printed it out.. taped it to the box and packaged my 360 up nice and securely and sent it off and with in like 2 weeks I had it back
the whole process took about week and half for me, but i used my own box. I got a new xbox 360 i think because my old one didn't have built in hdmi and the new one i recieved did it also came with the new lite-on drives so im assuming it wasn't a refurb.
Thanks for all the help. Some follow up questions:1) I'm getting conflicting answers from you guys regarding the refurbished thing. I guess my main question is this: when you guys have gotten your 360 back, has it been in better or worse condition overall, beyond no RROD?2) I'm pretty sure I'm using my own box... so how does that work? When I called the person didn't even give me an option of a pre-done box... which is easier or quicker?3) Overall, have any of you experienced the RROD after the repair?4) Also, does anyone know whether this happens completely haphazardly or for a specific reason? 1) My whole process (waiting for the box, shipping, waiting for it to return to me) took about 2 weeks.2)It could get RRoD again, there's no certainty in any product that it will work for good. Yes they do give you a refurbished xbox and they send you one from the same year that yours was manufactured, they at least did for me. So you send in an '06 console which is what I did, you get an '06 back. They repair the console you sent in and then give it to someone else, that's how it works. 3) All you do is call them or go to xbox.com and do it online so you don't have to worry about talking to anyone. They ship you a box with directions on what to ship. They give you tape and a shipping sticker plus styrofoam to secure it in the box. You just ship the console, no hd, no controllers, no cables, nothing but the plain console. Also, you should to write down your tracking number located on the shipping sticker.
SO glad someone brought up this topic again.. I JUST got mine back from the RROD issue.. and well I can help a littleno they don't send people back someone esles refurbished xbox they actually open is it and do the repair, and sometimes they basically put u in a whole new machine depending on the condition.. that is what they did to mine mine is quieter turns on quicker and a few other good things, and the shipping is no big deal they I never had to do that either they will tell you that you have to get the box or they send you one.. but I had to go and buy my own box and stuff to ship it, and I had to print it out of an email they had sent to me and so I printed it out.. taped it to the box and packaged my 360 up nice and securely and sent it off and with in like 2 weeks I had it back
the whole process took about week and half for me, but i used my own box. I got a new xbox 360 i think because my old one didn't have built in hdmi and the new one i recieved did it also came with the new lite-on drives so im assuming it wasn't a refurb.
Thanks for all the help. Some follow up questions:1) I'm getting conflicting answers from you guys regarding the refurbished thing. I guess my main question is this: when you guys have gotten your 360 back, has it been in better or worse condition overall, beyond no RROD?2) I'm pretty sure I'm using my own box... so how does that work? When I called the person didn't even give me an option of a pre-done box... which is easier or quicker?3) Overall, have any of you experienced the RROD after the repair?4) Also, does anyone know whether this happens completely haphazardly or for a specific reason? I was, again, obviously pissed this happened, especially since I've taken good care of my Xbox especially to prevent this.
Also, I assume that by taking out my HD my data and my Xbox live stuff isn't going to be affected? The person I talked to said something about my Xbox live being compensated in some way... anybody know anything about that?

I know this happened to me a while ago, but Im gonna say it now. So, I used to be able to download any demo I wanted. As of about nearly a year ago, I cant get M-rated demos. It says that I'm on a ''child account''. I understand what they're doing except one thing...my ''child'' account (that is, my original one) was set to Date Of Birth: **/**/1986...and now my friend tells me I can make a new Microsoft Live ID profile but all my gamerscore will go away and everything...does anyone know a way around this? I couldn't believe how terrible it was. The player's running animation is the same for everyone and it looks really unnatural. The game's totally unrealistic. BTW, I don't love FIFA 09 either. I'm quite content with 08 for the moment.

finally found out the 1g on fifa 09
o.k so that 1g achievement that xbox360achievements.org even didnt have has finally been found out. some guy on youtube put it up.most of you probly have the 19g for scoring in the 89th minute and thinking what stupid little thing do i have to do to get 1g.well actually this thing will take ages and should be worth 100g or maybe more.it's for playing 50 hours on the game. 50 whole hours for 1g. i'll get it some random day just through normal playing but still they should give way more.btw has anyone actually got it yet?cant believe the guy on youtube has clocked up 50 hours already unless he's a games writer and has had it for weeks.

Ive got a problem with my Xbox and I was wondering if anybody could help me with it before I just call Microsoft. OK so I turn on my Xbox and it shows the little Xbox logo thing, then it starts with the little opening credits with the name of the software company and then it just freezes up! I tried freeing up space in my hard drive, I unplugged all the cords, I tried different games but it just does the same thing every time. The rings on the power button don't flash or change colors or anything it just freezes up and I cant bring up the dashboard menu or anything.If you guys can help me or give me any ideas on what to do I would really appreciate it! :)Xbox start-up help. =)

I just read something in a Gamespot article that implied NBA Live 09's new ''NBA Live 365'' feature won't be free. I'm assuming everyone knows about this feature. Does anybody know more about this? I'm pretty sure I beat the game in just under 10 hours with minimal problems and i despised Too Human. There really isn't a thing to get about the combat, seeing as it's broken. At many points in the game, I was rolling through enemies, at other times, combat failed and I found myself dying a couple times before I got back into it again. There is really no gun combat (since it blows and is rather pointless and boring) and sword combat doesn't focus on a great amount of skill besides finding the right place to push the joystick. The story is similar to reading the back of a cereal box, you only do it because you are bored during breakfast, just like Too Human, you only try to pay attention because you wasted 60 bucks. I on the other hand was able to buy it used over 2 weeks ago for $35 and sell it for $45... Got about 600 Gamerpoints thought!Seriously though, there are so many things wrong with Too Human (story, combat, character classes, horrible level design, bland graphics, lame characters, pointless treasure finding {you can beat the game without looting easily} and so much more), I should just stop now before I start writing a review with the number 4.5 posted at the top...Save your money unless you want the 600 gamerpoints and you have an interested party willing to buy the game from you at a markedup price...

I'm pretty sure I beat the game in just under 10 hours with minimal problems and i despised Too Human. There really isn't a thing to get about the combat, seeing as it's broken. At many points in the game, I was rolling through enemies, at other times, combat failed and I found myself dying a couple times before I got back into it again. There is really no gun combat (since it blows and is rather pointless and boring) and sword combat doesn't focus on a great amount of skill besides finding the right place to push the joystick. The story is similar to reading the back of a cereal box, you only do it because you are bored during breakfast, just like Too Human, you only try to pay attention because you wasted 60 bucks. I on the other hand was able to buy it used over 2 weeks ago for $35 and sell it for $45... Got about 600 Gamerpoints thought!Seriously though, there are so many things wrong with Too Human (story, combat, character classes, horrible level design, bland graphics, lame characters, pointless treasure finding {you can beat the game without looting easily} and so much more), I should just stop now before I start writing a review with the number 4.5 posted at the top...Save your money unless you want the 600 gamerpoints and you have an interested party willing to buy the game from you at a markedup price...

So it seems like everyone has a game that their friends rag on them for, but they just love to play. The first one I had was Viva Pinata, that game was so much deeper and way more complicated than any outside observer would have ever thought, and my other corny game I love is Earth Defense Force, I think that game is a ton of mindless fun to be had blasting through like 50 levels of giant ants and spiders, you can even play split screen with a friend. I have a cheap HDMI cable and it works perfectly. It's a digital connection, so a high-end cable is pretty unnecessary.

I just bought Oblivion and wow...how is this the GoY. Great it has nice graphics, then you push up on a joystick for 40 mins running through a field, and that is how you're introduced to the game. Not to mention the incredibly dull combat action. I like the idea of the game and want something similar but would prefer some action or some sort. I looked into Two Worlds but heard it was horrible.Over rated

Maybe you didn't make your character properly or didn't pick the right attributes. The Oblivion board would help you out a lot.
If it takes you forty minutes to run through a field then your stick is broken. Also pushing up on your stick won't help you kill anything. You have to swing your sword. Hope that helps. :D

K well I've had my 360 for a bit over a year now bought it last september. So I had the warranty until the end of september right? Well on Septeber 28th I got 2 red rings which means it was overheating. So I let it cool for 4 days since I was going away anyway. Then when I got back It still had the same problem. I felt the back and it wasn't even the slightest bit warm! It's in the most well ventelated area in my house. I asked my friend if I could borrow his cooling fan and it didn't do anything. Why is this suspicious, well I called microsoft and told them about the problem and I'm getting a new one but my warranty expired 9 days before I called them so I had to pay 100 freakin bucks to renew my warranty. It's suspicous how my Xbox wasn't even hot and it just happens as soon as my warranty expires (Which was on the 26th). What do you think?Hmmm, Suspicious.....

Pleasntly surprised games run without a hitch super vibrant. Only downside to higher screen size ( i had 26'' HDTV befor ) is you notice alot of game imperfections. For example pop-ins seem to be more vissible :P But yeaa super happy for the price i don't think i could have picked a better more future proof TV. :D
There is a demo mode for ''TrueMotion'' for 120Hz it splits the screen to 120Hz ON/OFF the difference is amazing.
Definitely need to get a TV stand for that or mount it if that's a better option for you. Overall good choice with going with an LG.

It looks like a great tv. I'd remove the stickers from the side, though. The ones that say Full 1080p, 3D Sound, Full Cinema etc etc. I think it makes the TV look tacky. 4 HDMI slots is really good. I've got 4 devices that use HDMI but my TV only has 3 HDMI ports. Unplugging one to plug in another isn't difficult, but it is annoying.

I was playing 360 yesterday and was connected to Live fine, but when I tried to connect today...it wouldn't work. It failed the Connect to Wireless Network Test so I restarted my router, but it still didn't work.(I hope its not my wireless adapter.) I put it back on factory settings and it still didn't work. All the status codes I saw were zeroes except for X:8000-0011. Can somone please help me?:(Please help!!! 360 connection trouble!

One time it turned out that an ethernet cable wire's had broken inside due to bending and rebending. Try switching cables... sounds stupid but that was the problem when i couldnt find one.Edit: Also sometimes my connection just wouldnt work for a few days do to local repairs even though the internet was still running... maybe i wasnt achieving a certain connection speed that i was set for at the time?

I think it would work.I have my main gamertag which I have my MS points on and bought XBLA games with. I also created a second GT for other people to use. When logged in with only my second account (silver) and look at the games on my console it shows all the purchased games as full games, showing achievements and friends leaderboard as options, which are not there if it was only a trial version.

I think it would work.I have my main gamertag which I have my MS points on and bought XBLA games with. I also created a second GT for other people to use. When logged in with only my second account (silver) and look at the games on my console it shows all the purchased games as full games, showing achievements and friends leaderboard as options, which are not there if it was only a trial version.

I was just thinking that maybe xbox 360 needs another flagship title. Now usually when we think of Xbox we think of Halo series and now Gears Of War but i still feel like xbox could use at least one more flagship title similar to how Nintendo has had Mario,Zelda,Metroid. Not saying that it truly needs it to survive but it would again differentiate itself from the competition and would just add more value to the xbox brand itself. Not everyone thinks of Gears of war. Its really forum hype for a broken game. As for forza, PS3 along with Gran turismo, not everyone is into racing and Im sure a large portion of gamers forgot about that game.

Exactly. Why do people care so much about how the graphics look. I agree that some parts to Halo 3's graphics lack some what, but that doesn't stop be froming playing it almost everyday. If you care that much about the graphics go play Crysis.

Those are just CGI graphics. Xbox360 could never create those graphics in real time that's why Halo 3 doesn't look like that. Halo 3 is probably the best graphics the 360 will ever get.

Far Cry 2, where's the much deserved att ...
Far Cry 2 is an upcoming (Oct. 21) FPS with a full fledged MAP EDITOR, IMMERSIVE 50KM OPEN GAME WORLD, different singleplayer possibilites 80 HOURS OF SINGLEPLAYER, GREAT GRAPHICS/WEATHER, smooth GAMEPLAY, etc. Already reviewed (PC version) 9.4/10.This is nothing like Far Cry Instincts, this is going to be an amazing FPS on the 360, potentially one of, if not, the best for 2008. I recommend for those of you who don't know it to look up some footage on Youtube.Did I mention a MULTIPLAYER MAP EDITOR? Not the ''Forge'' piece of crap, an actual map editor you create land from th ground up and has over ONE THOUSAND objects from buildings, vegetation, vehicles, etc. with a 512m x 512m map size.A map editor that allows players to post their maps on Ubisoft servers for others to rate and recommend, and for seamlessly EASY download size/rates in order to join other people's games (20 seconds, not even, to download another player's map and join that room of up to 20 players). i love this game it will be the best of 08 maybe, but theres just way to many games to be excited for like fable 2, fallout 3, gears of war 2, the new halo game is being very much talked about, COD5, saints row 2, dead space(maybe), tom Clancy's ENDWAR. these are all great games...games i'm going to be getting but great games. its hard to be hyped for them all, especially fable 2 since it lost its mulitpayer on launch till when ever and the special edition is cut..its just like the first game one after another that all your left with is a crap game...So its not just farcry that is being left out its all the games its just so hard to be hyped and in control of all these games coming out, i know i'm going to be flat broke trying to get these

This one has a 50km open world and you are able to MAKE CHOICES on what to do in terms of storyline, with 9 different playable characters in the singleplayer.As for the crappy multiplayer maps... Ubisoft has known about this issue and has implemented a map rating system. So I'd imagine a 1-5 star system being used, and crappy maps will have low stars so you know just how good/bad the map you are about to join really is. This game will be excellent!

Yeah people wont like COD5 cus its WW2, I probably will but in the modern era fighting genre Far Cry 2 will sweep clean COD4's servers and everybody will be playing Far Cry. Hopefully you will look for a game and BOOM 600 20 player servers full are there just like COD or Halo.

This one has a 50km open world and you are able to MAKE CHOICES on what to do in terms of storyline, with 9 different playable characters in the singleplayer.As for the crappy multiplayer maps... Ubisoft has known about this issue and has implemented a map rating system. So I'd imagine a 1-5 star system being used, and crappy maps will have low stars so you know just how good/bad the map you are about to join really is. This game will be excellent!

I imagine a lot of the hype for the game is in the PC forum. That said I think after the game is rated, provided it performs well, I think It will have a growing hype. It might be a bit of a sleeper hit.If COD5 turns out to be more COD3 instead of 4 I could see Farcrybenefitingfrom that.
Yeah people wont like COD5 cus its WW2, I probably will but in the modern era fighting genre Far Cry 2 will sweep clean COD4's servers and everybody will be playing Far Cry. Hopefully you will look for a game and BOOM 600 20 player servers full are there just like COD or Halo.

It really depends on what you like. First of all IGN are all Gay so dont bother with there ratings as they have their Heads in the wrong place. Silent Hill Homecoming will have better graphics and physics i am sure plus it will be more interesting so i would recommend Silent Hill.
