Halo 3, Gears of war

Did anyone else find the two games rather dissapointing in comparison to how much praise it got because I sure did. Halo 3 felt like it had no improvement. Gears of war was just plain typical with some upgraded graphics.Halo 3, Gears of war

It was an action-packed, gruesome, TPS (with intutive controls) that had a nice MP added in - although somewhat lacking in features. It not only lived upto my expectations, but surpassed them - and I'm playing it to this very day enjoying every minute of it.But I somewhat agree with Halo 3 ... for a few reasons. I didn't find either to be disappointing... I don't really understand how Gears of War was 'typical'... It has a great cover system, the first to really be effectively implemented. It had unique weapons and a unique take on arcade multiplayer actionClaiming that Halo 3 contained no improvements is just... foolish. Go back and play last-gen shooters, particularly Halo and Halo 2, and if you can still say that there are no improvements, you should probably see a psychologist because that would mean you are certifiably insane.

Gears Of War didn't dissapoint me at all. Awesome campaign and awesome online play.Halo 3's campaign was slightly dissapointing, but I still enjoyed it.It's online, however, is brilliant.
Halo 3 got extremely boring quick. Plus the spawn points were so bad (in team doubles anyway) it wasn't worth playing.Gears of War I can still play. While there are plenty of glitches and bugs, the gameplay is so intense sometimes it more than makes up for it.

Gears of war was a blast, I would have liked halo 3 story mode to be better but overall I can safely say I got my moneys worth from both games. I still play them to this day.

I mostly just play games single player, so those 2 games didnt impress me much.
IMO, Gears was simply amazing. And I still play Halo 3 all the time. Maybe those types of games aren't for you.
