Oblivion question - What's the best armo ...

So I don't know if there is a certain armor you can get that would be called the ''best'', but let's just say I'm using heavy armor.......in your opinion, what would be the best?I'm using (with their so-called defense rating):-Dwarven Shield (14)
-Ebony Cuirass (14)
-Ebony Greaves (8
-Orcish Boots (4)
-Orcish Gauntlets (4)
-Orcish Helmet (4)I know that the rating isn't ''gospel'', because you can always get armor with magical effects, but I'm just talking about standard armor without any magical effects. But by all means, feel free to share your opinion, even if it includes armor with magical effects. I even want to hear what people say about Light Armor. I know some other guy posted a topic about Daedric Armor. Is there something better about the Daedric Armor? I don't use the Daedric Armor because it had a lower rating than my armor.Oblivion question - What's the best armo ...
daedric armor is by far the best armor in the game, but remember, its very very heavy, so have some serious strength to carry it around ok.Oblivion question - What's the best armo ...

I'll try this again....So what's so great about the daedric armor? I didn't use it because the ratings were lower than what I'm using right now. Is there something about it that I over-looked?
no man get the daedric armor or the knights of the nine armor or even the final equipement after u finish oblivion's main quest but that's in the end x)the ebony is good but look out in the web for shrines(statues)locations and there磗 one of them that challenges u to travel into a oblivion portal and defeat a bunch of guys that r full of great weaponry and armor like the full daedric. good luck
After playing through the game completely twice, I've come to really like light armor. I found i both my games that the amount of cool weapons/armor you have access to increases way faster than your ability to carry them, so light armor, being lighter, was more pragmatic. Also, by using enchantments, I never felt unprotected. I enchanted all my armor with fortify luck, which was the most cost effective thing. Luck is really useful once you have a bunch of it, and in armor, each piece gets its own luck enhancement. Plus, after you get a 100 skill, light armor starts operating at 150% all the time. As far as daedric vs other heavy armor, daedric has the greatest health and also offers the greatest protection. Your numbers may be different based on what condition the armor you have is in. To be accurate, you have to make sure your armor is at 100%.

More over, I just took a daedric shield off a guy I killed and the daedric shield had a rating of 20 versus my Dwarven Shield of only 14. So I must be smokin' crack or something, cuz I coulda swore my armor was better than daedric armor. Looks like I'll be makin' a stop at my house soon to pick up my daedric armor (I keep just about everything I claim off of the dead and store it in my hizzle). Also, I did beat the game, and I JUST got a message saying my special armor is ready. I just have to go pick it up.
